FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can any agency participate in the National Law Enforcement Applied Research & Data Platform?

Yes - Any law enforcement agency interested may join as a participant.

How can I learn more about the Platform?

You can sign up to receive additional information about the Platform here.

Can I see the results for individual agencies?

You will be able to see results for your own agency. Additionally, results for agencies will be aggregated by agency size as well as region to provide some benchmarking abilities for participants.

I have ideas or suggestions for the Platform (e.g. topics that should be covered). How should I communicate these ideas?

If you have ideas, suggestions or comments, go to Contact and submit them to the Platform team, or email platform@policefoundation.org. Your identity will remain confidential.

Are there any risks to individual police officers or civilians who participate in the National Law Enforcement Applied Research & Data Platform?

The research team is forbidden from releasing any identifying information to participating agencies or to the public. Officer survey responses are anonymous, so their identities are unknown. In cases where the results are confidential (such as the community interaction surveys), the information is de-identified so that survey results cannot be linked to individuals.

Does participation cost my agency anything?

No - There is no fee to participate in the Platform.
